A 5K road race and 1K kids fun run around the 8th Wonder of the World, our landmark Astrodome

Thank you to all of the Dome family and friends for celebrating the 58th anniversary of the opening of the iconic Astrodome in 2023! The festivities included:
- 1K kids fun run circles the Astrodome
- 5K road race followed by a route around the Dome and through NRG Park
- Post-race party kicks off and awards
- Awards for top 3 male and female overall competitors, and top three kids finishers
Race for the Dome benefits the Astrodome Conservancy and supports our work to ensure a bright future for the iconic Astrodome. The Astrodome Conservancy is the champion of the Astrodome on behalf of the people of Houston and Harris County. Our work brings together ideas, resources, and leadership to save and redevelop the 8th Wonder of the World.
