Mili Kyropoulou has no personal connection to the Astrodome. When she began teaching at the University of Houston in 2016, the Astros had long since established themselves at their new downtown stadium. She never attended an event or a game at the original ballpark. She jokes that she is from a country, Greece, that “doesn’t even know what baseball is.”
