n its heyday, the Astrodome was Houston’s living room.
It was the pinnacle of innovation in 1965, when it opened as the world’s first air-conditioned domed stadium. It was a sports venue. It was a multi-purpose, indoor event space. Eventually, it had AstroTurf, and it was proof Houston had the audacity to think big.
Houston has that chance again.
