
Heidi Cruz has over 25 years of experience at leading global investment banks and at senior levels of government, with extensive international experience, including working with countries throughout the developing world.
Currently leading a senior investment team in Texas, covering high net worth families, foundations and institutions, Heidi has been at Goldman, Sachs & Co. for 19 years. Previously, Heidi has served as Director of Client Development Americas Private Wealth Management (2016-2024), and as
co-head of the Southwest Region from 2011 to 2015. Heidi joined Goldman Sachs in 2005 and was named managing director in 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Heidi was an investment banker with JP Morgan, and subsequently Merrill Lynch, focusing on Latin American mergers & acquisitions, structured finance and energy in New York and Houston.
Heidi’s public sector experience includes serving in the George W. Bush administration as economic director for the Western Hemisphere at the National Security Council under Condoleezza Rice. She also served as director for Latin America at the US Treasury Department and as special assistant to Robert B. Zoellick, then-US Trade Representative.
Heidi is a national advisory council member of The Policy Circle, serves on the board of the Greater Houston Partnership, well as the national board of ACE Scholarships, and presently serves as Texas Chair for ACE. Heidi has published on exchange rates, on international trade, and with the Harvard Business School Press.
Heidi received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Masters in European Business from Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Claremont McKenna College with a BA in Economics and International Relations.
