Nick Hellyar is a successful small businessman with his own real estate company specializing in residential properties. Nick attended Lanier Middle School and Lamar High School. He became interested in politics when his former sixth-grade teacher ran for Congress and encouraged his former students to get involved and learn how politics work. Nick found he enjoyed the work so much that he went on to serve in a of number of successful city and state campaigns and was employed by several elected officials to manage constituent services in their offices. Nick knows that the City of Houston must work for everyone and he will prioritize helping neighbors get real problems solved. “Helping people fix issues that affect their daily lives is what I love most and that passion for problem-solving is what drives me to run for City Council.”
Nick currently serves as a board member for the Houston Zoo and The Heritage Society at Sam Houston Park.
