IN THE ‘SPIRIT’ OF PRESERVATION, ASTRODOME CONSERVANCY LAUNCHES OCTOBER COCKTAIL-FOCUSED FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN SPOTLIGHTING SOME OF HOUSTON’S FAVORITE SPOTS TO CATCH A GAME
Drink Out for the Dome Initiative Kicks off with Free 8th Wonder Brewery Event on Saturday, September 21
HOUSTON, TX – September 4, 2024 – Astrodome Conservancy, the community’s non-profit champion of the 8th Wonder of the World, is partnering with bars across Houston for an October fundraising initiative. The goal is to raise awareness and dollars towards ensuring the iconic structure’s bright future as a one-of-a-kind destination for locals and visitors at the heart of NRG Park.
As temperatures cool and Houstonians flock to favorite watering holes to cheer on their teams, Astrodome supporters are encouraged to Drink Out for the Dome by sipping on an array of specially created Dome-themed adult beverages. $1 from each drink purchase will support the Astrodome Conservancy’s vision of a dynamic Astrodome accessible to all through creative programming, innovative partnerships and economic development.

The community is invited to attend a Drink Out for the Dome kickoff event at 8th Wonder Brewery on Saturday, September 21 from noon until 6 pm. Guests will enjoy a special Dome-and-vintage-themed artisan and vendor market organized by KDA Markets, food trucks, a DJ and the opportunity to be the first to taste 8th Wonder’s Drink Out for the Dome beverages, the Cosmic Dome cocktail and the Space Spritz mocktail.
